31.12.2024 - New Year’s Eve

• Blade: Rapira Platinum Lux
• Lather: Wholly Kaw - Transition
• Post-Shave: just moisturizer lol
• Fragrance: Morris Motley - Vert Gothique EdP (sample)

-> 1 pass plus buffing on the dome; 1 pass on the neck. A very comfortable shave to end 2024!

So this year is over. As always, it had its ups and downs for us all. Now we await transitioning into a new year, so Transition was a good choice for today. It’s warm, smooth and inoffensive. I wanted my fragrance to be the real standout today, so it’s perfect for that occasion. Siero base, so yet again a treat for my skin.

Vert Gothique is a sample I recently got as part of a perfume sample box where I could choose the samples myself. This one’s a winner: leather, patchouli, oakmoss, spices, oud. It’s quite expensive from what I know, but at least not in the league of Amouage Interlude Man and others. I think I’ll seriously consider a full bottle of this one.

To conclude this post, I want to wish all you fine folks here at the wetshaving instance a nice smooth transition into 2025 and a Happy New Year! Between the years is usually a time for some introspection and looking at milestones of the past, but I think we can be proud of what we have here! So good. I heard a murmur about the CFG Legacy being out of stock, so people are wondering if it was discontinued. That would really be too bad, as it’s a great razor, but I imagine it’s not a big money maker for Ron. Here’s hoping he’s just on vacation or something!

A nice relaxed Stankening. Ending the year basking in the Glory Of The Stank® feels appropriate. I think the vegan Tabac base dries out more than the tallow version, and I find myself loading a lot longer than with the previous puck. At least according to my potentially unreliable memory.

A fantastic two-pass shave with BBS results. This razor really gets on well with these blades in my experience.
