I have a hard time with Indigo as well. Everyone else loves the scent when I wear it, but I can’t help but think there’s parts of the scent that I’m missing out on. Some days I think I can pick up the scent better than others.

Oaken Lab’s Serious Moonlight is a truly unique and unforgettable fragrance.
The scent opens with a burst of citrus and black tea, which is followed by the dominant heart of the fragrance, night jasmine and wood. It creates an almost sensual atmosphere. The base notes of Indonesian oud, vanilla, leather, and asphalt add to the complexity and intrigue.
The pillowy B16 knot created a luxurious lather from the Oaken Lab base, and the Blackbird Ti provided a phenomenally close shave with zero irritation.

Definitely falls into the dirty, clean class of scents.

Iris, juniper, and sweet orange, all tied together by fir. These are the notes that stood out to me in these three stand out scents.

Today’s soap, You & I (Will Die), was generously provided by @walden@sub.wetshaving.social. I had already ordered the splash from Anticatura in anticipation of today’s BVWSC shave.
This unfortunately named scent opens with airy and light florals, but none of the darker, smokey notes presented themselves. It is still an enjoyable scent, but the marketing does it no favors.
Missing the darker tone of the scent, I opted for the heady and earthy Encre Noir A L’Extreme.
