    • Brush: Dogwood Handcrafts Tabak Oridjinal, now with 28 mm Gelousy knot
    • Razor: Böker – 14er (8/8", extra hollow, carbon steel, square point)
    • Blade: Feather New Hi-Stainless
    • Lather: Mäurer & Wirtz – Tabac Original
    • Post Shave: Mäurer & Wirtz – Tabac Original
    • Fragrance: Mäurer & Wirtz – Tabac Original

A nice relaxed Stankening. Ending the year basking in the Glory Of The Stank® feels appropriate. I think the vegan Tabac base dries out more than the tallow version, and I find myself loading a lot longer than with the previous puck. At least according to my potentially unreliable memory.

    • Brush: Chisel and Hound Ambrosia Maple with 26 mm Maggard knot
    • Razor: Thiers Issard 14 Médaille d’Or 1921 Exposition d’Algier Acier Spécial (7/8", extra hollow, square point, carbon steel)
    • Lather: Stirling Soap Co. – Satsuma
    • Post Shave: Stirling Soap Co. – Satsuma
    • Fragrance: Acqua di Parma – Blu Mediterraneo Arancia di Capri

Back from the snow and the mountains, it’s very nice to have my whole den to choose from again. I felt like the bright orange juice happiness of Satsuma, and the big TI gave me a nice evening shave.

The Chubby lost 7 hairs, after the 11 yesterday, so I think it’s stabilising.

    • Brush: Simpson Chubby 2 Manchurian
    • Razor: Wolfman Satin WR1 dual comb 0.74 mm gap head on hollow WRH1 handle
    • Blade: Feather New Hi-Stainless
    • Lather: Barrister and Mann – Dickens, Revisited
    • Post Shave: Barrister and Mann – Dickens, Revisited

This brush was a Christmas present from by wife yesterday. It’s got a good backbone, but super soft gelled tips, and it’s my first such badger. It feels super nice on the skin! I can tell I will like this brush. It lost a slightly alarming number of hairs but most during the first pass and many during the second and third passes, so I think that this brush just had a bunch of loose hair and once they’ve worked themselves out of the knot it’ll settle. The knot had no badger funk, and it lathered well already during this first use. I’m curious if there will be a lot of breaking in.

Dickens is a very nice scent for a winter vacation in the snowy mountains, and I had a great shave after a day in the snow with Djunior.

    • Brush: Chisel and Hound Ambrosia Maple with 26 mm Maggard knot
    • Razor: Wolfman Satin WR1 dual comb 0.74 mm gap head on hollow WRH1 handle
    • Blade: Feather New Hi-Stainless
    • Lather: Mäurer & Wirtz – Tabac Original – Stick
    • Post Shave: Barrister and Mann – Dickens, Revisited

    Merry Tabac Tuesday my friends!

My wife gifted me a gorgeous butterscotch Simpson Chubby with Manchurian badger today, but this shave happened before, so it’s with my travel synth. I’m excited to try it out tomorrow.

I haven’t used the Tabac stick nor the WR1 Wolfie in a while, but they are just as nice as I remember and I had a wonderful Christmas Eve.

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate, and I hope you are all having some happy times Seth friends and/or family.
