This is the big thing everyone has been waiting for, more coloring books! Finally, and with such a small investment at that. The great coloring books drought has been defeated

If it can colour them in for me that will save a lot of leisure time so I can be more productive. I will never have to deal with the colouring books and the colouring ever again! Why is the word “colour” failing on spellcheck with all of that AI shit floating around all of us? /s

Thanks for the info. I was aware. Just making a dig at our neighbour’s “americanization” of a common language.

I gotta say this can be entertaining. I work for a British company so have to watch my spelling (i wont change my vocabulary but spelling is the least I can do) so it’s always amusing when one of them presents something with their spellchecker complaining about the their word that they spelled correctly for them.

Except “artefact”. Our artifact repo is American software and you need to spell “artifact” the American way for it to work. I do Americanize that everywhere in a vain attempt to reduce user error

It’s like some recursive slop machine.

MS Senior Manager: “Hey Copilot, give me 10 ideas for how shoving AI needlessly into Paint can seem cool to a cool guy like me.”

Nobody saw coloring book artists getting taken out by AI. This is getting pretty scary. If it figures out how to make sticker books, we’re completely fucked.

    Slightly off topic but not:

I just was on Facebook today (just for family birthdays and such) and literally every post I could see was AI slop

First video was about a guy in a jeep in Africa with a dog in it and he was changing a tire and a lion was approaching. Didn’t see the video, why, it’s slop, I just saw the promo picture. That, and the dozen hashtags and exclamation title and description that promises a dog lion fight!

And all I could think was "why the fuck, who the fuck, why would anyone watch this? It’s not real to begin with but almost ALL these videos are about the weirdest animal fights. WHY? I hate violence, I hate even more watching animals suffer, why is Facebook flooding everything with AI animal fight slop? Why, and who the fuck watches that shit? It’s all fake, just dancing pixels, why, what is the point?

Sorry, just ranting, it really ticked me off

I get the general backlash against ai everywhere, but as a parent, I like this. It’s potentially useful to parents of young kids (and yes some adults find coloring to be relaxing, reducing stress).

And yes, ai is potentially good, where it adds functionality yet is optional to everyone who doesn’t want it. We need more specifically targetted ai

Speaking as a parent whose kids used to be little - I love this idea!

“Is anyone asking for “ the capability to create a children’s activity specific to their interests on the spur of the moment? Yes, we are.

You laugh, but yes, let’s bring big coloring book to its knees! Seriously though, artificial scarcity doesn’t need to exist here, nor are most all “creatives” creative here. For all those parents who want to generate an activity as they go along, fantastic. For those “creatives” who try to turn this into an online business, I’m ok with this niche not being gate-kept.

This is a use case where ai can make life a little easier
