Hell yeah. I might not agree with every single thing Jasmine says or does, but this is exactly the energy the Dems need to be putting forward.

Worth mentioning this one probably has nothing to do with what you think it does. See here.
Also worth mentioning that hacking machines isn’t the only way to interfere with an election. (I shouldn’t need to mention the potential for corruption when a small handful of people control voting blocs this large and important, but even that notwithstanding there’s good ol’ fashioned voter suppression that was applied liberally in 2024).
Thanks. Frustrating that that is basically what I had assumed, but thanks.
The party of “empathy is a sin.”
I try to remember that most of them are legitimately brainwashed into an actual cult, and stuck in one hell of a bubble. There’s certainly a lot of underlying prejudice at play–this is America we are talking about, after all–but they are also being misled. Lest we forget the real perpetrators of Jan 6th, who have yet to be punished; I have a hard time imagining I’d have taken a different course of action from those rioters if I truly thought an election had been stolen and no one in power was doing anything.
That said…I think many of these people are beyond help at this point. At least as far as interactions with non-family/friends goes. Use your best judgement when interacting with them, eh.
I hope they never get a moment’s rest when visiting another country ever again. Also, when they are in our country too.
I hate that he even has an approval rating. Like mentioning Bezos’s approval rating. Isn’t this the exact same kind of deep state shadow puppeting that conservatives love to imagine George Soros is doing? Funny how little that seems to matter now. Hell, they are probably still blaming George Soros for their problems.
I’m curious how he responded? In the process of attempting to deprogram my own parent.
I think this is the biggest cognitive hurdle to convincing Trump supporters to stop supporting him. They’d have to acknowledge how abhorrent his actions and policies are and, since they tie their identity so much to this support, they’d have to in turn acknowledge how they willfully supported fascism.
It is already difficult to convince someone they are wrong. It is a whole other ball game trying to convince someone that their wrongness was catastrophic for their own country and countrymen.
Reddit can’t crash and burn fast enough. What a joke.
Fair. How about “MAGA is a terrorist mob” then?
The problem is that when politicians like Chuck Schumer say “pro-Israel” what they mean is “I am in favor of the conflict continuing,” if you read in-between the lines. He is not taking the same humanistic approach you are. I really can’t emphasize enough how much Netanyahu and Israeli Jews writ large want the conflict to not only continue but to escalate (in case it needs to be said, no not all Jews, just specifically the ones benefiting from and perpetuating Israel’s ethno-nationalism, and who also happen to own most of the legal and political power in Israel). That is to say, he enjoys massive support in his own country. Virtually the only major power that is backing them on this is the US. Everywhere else, Netanyahu is internationally recognized as a WANTED war criminal.
Moreover, I take issue with the notion that Israel is simply retaliating against some unprovoked terror attack. October 7th didn’t just, like, happen in a vacuum. I could make comparisons to 9/11 and post-9/11 America–I wouldn’t be the first to compare these things and it isn’t a perfect comparison by any means–but a history lesson is perhaps outside the scope of a comment like this.
I’m not sure I follow. Did you mean to reply to a different comment?
Just in case: “I hate establishment Dems.” =/= “I like Republicans.” I have enough disdain in my heart for both. The post is about an establishment Dem, so that’s what my comment was about too. I was directly replying to Chuck’s remarks that “(his) job is to keep the left pro-Israel.”
His job is to keep the left pro-genocide?
Lord, I hate establishment Dems.
Exactly. No, it isn’t a death camp, but these detention centers are the canary in the coal mine and I’d argue it would be foolish to make light of them, considering everything that is happening.
At this point it might be easier to list all the companies that don’t support conservatives.
Russel Vought (Head of the OMB). Re: That other guy.
Paul Dans. Re: Who the meme is about.
Is this the fabled past Republicans were hoping for?
Who am I kidding, at this point they’d probably say “yes.”
