How big is this franchise still? It completely lost me with the last seasons got but it seems like people are still interested. Or the industry simply has no better ideas.

Fucking stupid. The last season went off the rails because they didn’t have a book to follow, and they wanted to finish quickly so they could make some dumb movie that in the end they never got to make anyway. Fucking finish the book Martain. Unfortunately he won’t hopefully someone can after he fucking dead.

I believe he spun up too many plot threads and can’t figure out how to wrap it without killing everyone. That, and his outline for the final season was received poorly and he’ll leave it for someone else to do. He doesn’t need to work anymore.

I mean, if the plot points weren’t rushed and were actually built up it could have been fine, and hell has the chance to still be good. But no, the final seasons were a rushed mess and even the actors knew it wasn’t something they were proud of so georgie boy has decided he’ll just tell different stories set within the same world or take a break writing some of elden ring and never bothering coming back to the stories that made him a house hold namr.

No there is supposed to be a sixed book. The fifth one is not the last. The 5th season of the show was based on that book.

It is big enough to get two spin off TV Shows, multiple video games and now a movie.

Those last seasons lost me too. I haven’t really tried watching any of the new show either, but that’s mostly because I’m not a big fan of prequels. I tend to lose interest when I already know how it all turns out.

Give me something like an action-adventure show of Arya sailing west, and I’d absolutely watch that.

Yes, Hordor is played by Hordor. It’s funny, Hordor would not have any real success in Hollywood had it not been for Hordor’s movies. Name another role you know Hordor from that’s not one of Hordor’s movies? On his own? Hordor is batshit.
