It’s great but it’s $$$.

More formal vaults have boxes which are locked in place so that even removing the locked box requires a key.

The “vault” had a brick wall and wooden shelves?

My understanding is that you can’t really get an espresso grinder that’s good for French press and vice versa. It may be a cost thing though - why pay $800 for a grinder and use a $20 coffeemaker. Manual grinders do narrow the gap though if you’re willing to put in the work. Usually, I’m not.
Heard good things about Commandante.

I wonder - if the market was open, would the stores buy it? Would the customers? It smells weird. Looks weird.
German Green Party abhors nuclear energy; after Fukushima the government closed all the nukes and coal filled the gap “but renewables will be ready soon”.
ETA the greens weren’t government but their anti nuclear stance was a helpful part.
It’s resistance to change. When it was new, people hated it. Now when it’s old, it’s hard going back. If you never changed, it’s new and bad.
OSS isn’t known for its revolutionary user interface experiences.

I don’t have plans to see Megopolis, but I did see 2001: A Space Odyssey, and if that movie can achieve long term success, anything can.
It’s sorta typical of the OSS community. Engineers aren’t designers and it would seem that UI designers are either not as interested in OSS as engineering types or they’re squeezed out by curmudgeonly engineers.
Not in the Settings for some reason.
Thank you, that’s very helpful.
I’m trying but going from the ribbon interface I’ve been using since 2006 to the pre-ribbon interface feels like a time warp, in a bad way.

I’ve been thinking I should do that.

Makes sense. Paying thousands of dollars in order to be able to travel from the place people live to the place people get food isn’t natural.

Another day, another infant account posting off topic.

The default one on the OS, with chrome also installed, both with uBlock origin. Keep it simple.

It’s interesting that the places that make lots of babies are also the source of emigration to places that make fewer babies.

I do too, but I’ve seen where some people keep their horses and would gladly move in!

Pets that are livestock species go outside, yeah. No argument here.
Well, they should have a cozy barn if they’re pets. If they’re really pets, with HVAC and all.

Upvoted, because you’re totally incorrect.
Are you advocating for the somewhat extreme position that pets shouldn’t exist?
Your reasoning suggests that basic duties of pet ownership such as basic training and grooming are too onerous. Canids do not soil their den in the wild and so easily are trained not to soil indoors, and cats don’t need training to use a litter box.
Cabinet scraper. Heat can also work; if you get it warm and scrape it, it can lift the edge and you can peel it back.
Or just lean into it. It’s a highlight?
