That’s good advice. I usually prefer loading with the brush when it’s drier, even though that makes some soap bases with lots of oils take longer to develop a solid lather. However, today I wasn’t quite paying attention to my usual process and started with a rather wet brush. A mistake that should be easily avoided next time 😉
GTB is a cool scent, it’s rather sweet at first but adds an interesting spicy note with the gunpowder. Definitely a great first choice for an artisan soap! IIRC, mine was Stirling’s Black Ice - not quite as palatable, but the great lather quality convinced me that this was the right path 😅

Ah, Black Ice is great when I’m in the mood for some menthol. I love the smell of anise.
