Nice shave. At use number 4 this blade is starting to shave not-as-close. Still pretty good, though. Imagine what it feels like after an additional 571 shaves on it.

Well, for a long time, I have suggested to sgrdddy that he is basically shaving with the width of the ribbon steel stock. The edge is probably a micron-sized saw. This should cut and be reasonably comfortable.

I hope he tries for a Guinness World Record with it. All of his shaves with it are documented, which is what Guinness likes to see.

Nobody will ever have the patience to break his record. Though, as a daily shaver, I could make up a lot of ground in 2025 if I treated each day as if it’s a day in BBS November :)

More like “Not even close to BBS November”. You and I like fresh sharp things way too much to ever put up with such an experiment!

Yeah, I agree. Sgr is fully aware of the concept of diminishing returns. I’m certain that blade has shaved pretty much the same for hundreds of shaves but he just wants to persevere. I think that it’s all about the numbers atm. I’ll ask him if anyone has suggested that he contact the Guinness org.
