They got the fuzzy antlers going, and turns out there’s like twenty or thirty deer up in the hills in Astoria there, and they absolutely do not care about humans. I got these shots with a telephoto, 800 ISO, 1/2000th of a second, 300mm. And they just munched some church grass.
This was taken shortly after my previous photo taken at the top of Astoria Tower, and I wanna talk about that for a moment while I have a text box. I managed to get me and my cane up a hundred and sixty-four stairs, and I looked at that ominous wooden door, and the moment I opened it, Mother Nature decked me straight in the face, as my hat, glasses, and left earpiece came unequipped in one fell swoop. Once I had managed to get all my turtles back in their terrarium, as it were, I was able to get my glasses bent back, my earpiece back in, and my hat was safely with my wife as the wind was blowing. Then I shot that wonderful monochrome cityscape from the previous post.
And then I got myself the hell down. The wind had no right to be that angry.
Anyway, deer. Being peaceful. No wind.
Thanks for seeing my work!
