Not recently it has been like this for months but basically the story generators are now garbage for role play its a mixed bag .the older versions would often just crash out or do things you would not like and get in a loop but the new chat is too polite

Yea the anti ai people have lost their mind and lemmy is a weird site were most of it is a weird hivemind even worse than reddit. but at least downvotes don’t actually do anything on this site so it does not really matter unlike on reddit with the karma. But its a bummer that we cant post the stuff we make on perchance on most of the internet. they just want everyone to be miserable and be against the current thing .and then they complain that things are not improving and that they have to use crappy products while you can now just make your own stuff with ai help that used to be too hard.

Ok then i hope there wont be more downgrades nothing can compare to this site it seems too good to be real .

And don’t forget that is actually uncensored and doesn’t do all the modern big tech cancer while still supporting modern things like ai almost everything is censored now .

It could be worse but not many people use lemmy most communities on lemmy are super toxic. i do think design wise lemmy is better than reddit no karma system so i don’t have to worry about getting down votes. on reddit they actually matter here they are just cosmetic .when it comes to censorship its weird what they do is instead of banning people they just quarantine them. i am sure that i cant use most of lemmy on this account now because i am pro ai i have not checked yet since this site is like 99% politics

The creator of perchance got sick of reddit and it corporateness so he wants people to use lemmy instead .but lemmy is not very popular there is still more interesting discussion going on on the perchance subreddit .while this part of lemmy is fine the community on the rest of lemmy is everything wrong with reddit x1000 .with a lot of toxic people that don’t even care about the freedom this site has .they probably would have banned perchance off lemmy if they could .but the creators of lemmy made a smart system so they cant get rid of us and we are in our own bubble .the ai hate is very strong on reddit and way stronger here on lemmy. these guys dont care about our arguments and dont just ignore us but want to punish us just for using ai and have 0 tolerance. they should probably just add a forum on perchance itself to filter out the anti ai people

i am not sure the old one often went crazy and didn’t understand what i want .a few months ago there was a big problem where it would just get in a loop forever. but the current one just seems too tame like it has soft censorship it can be edgy if you really try but it seems to avoid sensitive topics like it jut wants to stay polite very strange .

Its a reddit problem they have become very censored the owner of perchance is trying to get people to use lemmy instead. but people don’t want to join it since its confusing and most of lemmy is a toxic political dumpster fire

Yea lemmy has failed as a reddit alternative too many toxic users .i bet all the downvoting and pdf file rumors is just from people who hate ai .i would think it may be other ai sites who want to take out the competition. but lemmy is not relevant enough for that to matter

today it seems like the quality is much worse the last few weeks it has been slightly worse but today it has been total garbage. but you are talking about an update that happened over 1 year ago when perchance was way worse at generating images of anything interesting. right now it seems to be almost as bad as that version. but that was one year plus ago. over the last year the quality has been fluctuating between good and bad it seems to be different every time

He probably just hates ai . perchance started in 2017 and was not about ai but the dev decided to add some surprisingly impressive ai features. and this angered some of the old users despite it being great use of ai compared to most other ai sites that are more greedy and uncreative with it . some people really hate everything associated with ai regardless of what it does.

i got something similar when i made too many characters so had to abandon some .fortunately i had an older back up so i didn’t lose them all only a few but i need to make less characters

maybe i noticed a lot of the usual issues with too many fingers and toes but i am trying unusual things so maybe it just a fluke
