I said…
"Democrats suck and are ineffectual at accomplishing their (generally decent) goals.
Republicans are trying to turn the US into a dictatorship. I hope this was a hyperbolic statment, but it seems like this is where we are now.
Why can’t we be critical of democrats by being selective in the primaries? I think that a protest vote for an independent candidate, especially if you were in a swing state, has proven to have been a very poor choice.
Edit: To add to my initial point, I think that we are seing a lot of post-hoc rationalization from non-voters and protest voters.
You would have to be crazy to prefer the outcome that we got over having Kamala, and if you contributed to our current situation **** you."
After being the most upvoted comment on this post there for almost 24 hours, my comment was removed by moderators.
Demotivating people left of center is the last thing that we need for the next 2 years, we need to reform the DNC, and let them know what we want.

You are not wrong. My point is that dictator trump and his cronies will pave over the bones of Palestinians and turn Gaza into a Trump resort. Strip the rights of all non-christians, minorities, women, and lgbt in America(and this is just citizens!). Take away the only public service for healthcare, meager that it is. We will see nothing but negative progress and monstrous acts from this admin. Monstrous in a far more sinster and evil way than ever before.

Even Hitler did not manage to get the Gestapo set up until 4 months after he was appointed as chancellor. It has only been 3 weeks. Auschwitz was not set up until 7 years after his rise to power. Though the first concentration camp, which I imagine was more mild, was set up after a few months.
It feels like you are arguing in bad faith.
If I am getting ready to go hiking in an area where there may be bears, I don’t say to myself, “I am not currently being attacked by a bear, so I will probably not need bear mace.” In this analogy I like hiking (living in the democracy that I was born in and served to defend) therefore I will not choose to just not go hiking (leaving).
Interesting how all of these people want to have say over other peoples private property, for what they perceive to be the common good…
It rings a bell…hmmm. I think I have heard about some other movement that wanted to do that…
While you still have a choice, while voting still determines who sits that position, yes, you should.
Early 90s millenial here. I remember the wild west internet days. Left Reddit because it does not serve the interests of its users anymore.
Simple, just stop researching it, and it wont sound like a problem!
Where have I heard that before? 🤔
Also, I find it funny that this post has been allowed to remain on this instance, even though it portrays an idea that is not popular here. Democracy determined the fitness of this post in the marketplace of ideas, and found it lacking.
My comment on this post at .ml was removed for being unpopular with the mods, though not entirely unpopular with the people. Authoritarian rule determined that my comment was not allowed in the marketplace of ideas…curious…
