    I commented on this post @ https://lemmy.ml/post/26567894

    I said…

"Democrats suck and are ineffectual at accomplishing their (generally decent) goals.

Republicans are trying to turn the US into a dictatorship. I hope this was a hyperbolic statment, but it seems like this is where we are now.

Why can’t we be critical of democrats by being selective in the primaries? I think that a protest vote for an independent candidate, especially if you were in a swing state, has proven to have been a very poor choice.

Edit: To add to my initial point, I think that we are seing a lot of post-hoc rationalization from non-voters and protest voters.

You would have to be crazy to prefer the outcome that we got over having Kamala, and if you contributed to our current situation **** you."

After being the most upvoted comment on this post there for almost 24 hours, my comment was removed by moderators.

Demotivating people left of center is the last thing that we need for the next 2 years, we need to reform the DNC, and let them know what we want.

I just went through the modlog to see which comment was removed any why, and seeing your comment just reinforces my impression that posting anything on lemmy isn’t worth it. Your comment was obviously removed because somebody disagreed with you, not because you disrespected anybody participating in the discussion (rule 2).

To be fair, that is lemmy.ml. I think it is probably related to the reason that this post gained no traction here, and has many upvotes there…

Also, I find it funny that this post has been allowed to remain on this instance, even though it portrays an idea that is not popular here. Democracy determined the fitness of this post in the marketplace of ideas, and found it lacking.

My comment on this post at .ml was removed for being unpopular with the mods, though not entirely unpopular with the people. Authoritarian rule determined that my comment was not allowed in the marketplace of ideas…curious…
