@eru777 There are so many games I would love to do this with. I think possibly Ar tonelico 2 would be the one I might pick if I had to pick just one. It was just… so incredible. Story, characters, atmosphere, music (omg the music!) and just was so amazing and mind-blowing for me at the time. I was a bit torn between this one and Ar nosurge though. It too is just as incredible in its own way. (Biggest problem there is it’s only available in English on the PS3, which is a system I technically own but hate. The recent Switch port has received absolutely no attention even from fans.)

But really there is just a whole host of things. I would wish more that I could erase memories one at a time then replay each one at a time.

@Zander @Eeveecraft @mozilla @firefox It should be on F-Droid all the time now (it wasn’t for a while, but I think it’s there to stay) but if it ever isn’t, you can also get it from Accrescent if you want to avoid the one on Google Play. Not sure if it makes a difference or not. (I know that being off of the Play Store forces not using Google services and such, but they very likely don’t even in that version. I’m not sure though. I used to manually install it, but now just maintain via F-Droid while that lasts.

@Zander @Eeveecraft @mozilla @firefox Yes, I’d say they’re fairly similar. It’s a fork of the mobile version of Firefox, so it’s kind of a different beast in its own way, but they take similar views and methods on privacy and security.

@Eeveecraft @mozilla @firefox What are you talking about? Mozilla saw that everyone was going to their browser to get away from Google, so naturally they did the intelligent thing and became more like Google. I mean, it makes perfect sense, right?

There is a setting in about:config to completely disable it, but I’d recommend that you switch to a fork like LibreWolf on PC or IronFox on Android to ensure stuff like that will be disabled to begin with even if later updates would turn it on.

@PerfectDark There are two Tenchu games on the PS2, but I loved that one because the one character (Rin I believe was her name) was a lot more fun to play somehow. Couldn’t say how, just was.

It’s a stealth game though, so if you don’t like stealth you probably won’t like Tenchu. You can technically play it without stealth, but it’s not going to be much fun…

Persona 3 is excellent. I think, depending on preferences, 3 and 4 are the best in the series. 5 had its moments, but it was like 75% of 4 to me story-wise. Between 3 and 4 it depends on what you like. 4 is a bit lighter-hearted and more “Japanese culture” whereas 3 is much darker and more directly “save the world” type stuff.

@PerfectDark (I’ve got a lot more and I want to remind myself, but sites like Mobygames are giving me a hard time. Anything good for just a simple list of games?)

@PerfectDark Oh man, I have so many… The PS2 was probably my favorite actual console before the Switch and even then I have so much nostalgia… I think I have a few recommends you may not hear as much elsewhere and a bunch you probably will. Should I dig out my HD and remind myself of things?

@innkeeper@gamerstavern.online For me the most fun kind of is in that. But I apply an extra limitation to myself. They can never see me.

But you might want to remember that leaving the city nothing but a pile of corpses has consequences in Dishonored. This is one game where a billy club might just be better than a dagger for stealth.

@innkeeper@gamerstavern.online It’s a rather different type of game, but I wonder how you might feel about Empyrion. There are NPCs and such, but there is definitely a whole lot less going on and a whole lot more just you out there doing whatever. (It has more focus on combat and a whole lot of building of stuff though, so that may or may not be your thing.)
