I mean that’s fair, it’s just there is this strange saber rattling like this around Lemmy sometimes where a very small community pops up on all. It’s not terrible or anything I’ve just seen it pop up more often than you’d think.
For me in Lemmys state, just drive engagement! Moderate the trolls out of course but other than that just be loose.

It absolutely is, I am pretty impressed with it’s functionality! It doesn’t have everything options+ does but it has like 90%+ of the functions.

Been selecting vendors for a new factory. I’ve been actively avoiding US vendors, we landed on a German one and Jesus Christ is the pricing, service, and honestly general knowledge is far far superior to any US vendor. This is of course vendor domain specific but has been my experience for all of our US vendors across 6-12 pieces of equipment. My business is located in the US of course.

Cis and trans are also very commonly used to describe bonds in chemistry. Cis bonds are both on the same side, trans bonds point in opposite directions (think trans-fats). That’s a rudimentary explanation but the point is cis and trans have been used in the sciences long before trans people were discussed.
So silly to lose grants over, even if the research was actually about cis and trans humans.
