Except now they will be written by AI, an updated one gets left on your doorstep 3 times a week, and the built in DRM sets itself on fire when the new one is printed.

Image files can contain thumbnail exif data. Basically the thumbnail isn’t created on the fly every time its needed, it’s a second image in the same image file. Some software doesn’t edit that exif data when it edits the image, so you can end up with a mismatch like this.
Try a different image editor

First time I ever got paid for tech support, my mom’s coworker came over with a laptop with wifi that refused to work. He was clever enough that he had tried reinstalling drivers and all sorts of stuff. He was so frustrated he gave into my mom’s suggestion that maybe her 12 year old son could help.
Windows was still booting up when I found the hardware switch for the wifi on the side of the laptop.
The guy looked so defeated, I couldn’t even laugh or smile about it at the time. He was literal head in hands, practically in tears, and then he peeled off a $20 without looking at me.
So don’t feel bad, this has been happening to the best of us for decades.

Second protontricks.
Also, when you open random exes with proton tricks, it will give you a list of existing proton instances. If you have a decent steam library already using proton, it’s going to be a list of installed games. If a game on there uses the dll that you need, you can just pick that game and you don’t need to setup anything, it already is.
I asked Google for a list of games that use directx9c, and it gave me Fallout: New Vegas, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Portal (early builds/legacy render paths), Left 4 Dead 2, and Mirror’s Edge. L4d2 is free I think, so you can just install this game then run your game through that proton instance. Zero headache.
This probably has some hidden caveat I’m not aware of, I’m just trying to play games.

I’m going to eat a whole jar of this seasoning straight just to exercise my freedoms

It’s real neat how you try to turn this into some anti AI position. You are gobbling up corporate PR. Figure it out. I would listen to this from literally anyone else other than shills from the very company that should have an actual police investigation open. I was clear on this in my first comment as well, but you had to reach hard.

Why the fuck would I listen to two OpenAI assholes explain how their fuckup is actually a good thing for 40 minutes.

Background blur? Who asked for this?
Just looks like a bunch of bullshit that ensures my 5 year old phone can’t run the app with any reasonable response time.

A really long noodle that you both slurp up until you kiss.

The tracking is happening on your mobile phone. That’s where mobile apps go.
It sees where you go when you don’t have a car.
It sees what public transit you use.
It sees how all sorts of habits are altered without a car.
They will probably find new ways to A/B test the shit out of you too. I’d rather test new medications for cash than be a part of unregulated behavior studies ran by psychopaths.

Metro has partnered with GoCarma, whose mobile app automatically tracks travel behavior and odometer readings — making participation easier than ever.
There’s the fun part. They’re going to track the shit out of you and your car. Whether you successfully earn that $600 or not, they’re going to hoover up your data and sell it for more.

The guy has perfected the previously unknown 1001 yard stare

He won’t say what’s wrong, he doesn’t say much of anything anymore. He spends most of his time staring into the void.

Pretty sure this gets them on a no fly list to heaven too
I think when you export your Google account data you have options on how it will split your Gmail across mbox files, and I think you can pick an option to split it by labels/folders.

Hundreds? They chose the word hundreds.
Every media outlet in the world has jumped at the chance to throw around unverified numbers about this incident. Most of them even admitted the number was unverified but were still comfortable putting something like “50,000” in the title.
Now someone’s dead from it, and they counted this time, y’all. It’s hundreds.

According to the report, Ukraine also suggested using SpaceX’s military-grade Starshield network if Musk refuses to authorize Starlink, although Ukrainian officials said Starshield would be more expensive and harder to integrate into existing drone systems.
This is in the linked article. Kyiv Post and UA officials disagree that they’re essentially the same, and they want starlink.
Souns crazy, but it turns out someone made a whole tool that just highlights countries on a map, as if there was a need to do that before AI or something.
I was at lowes the other day and saw these cheap tiny hand “power drills” that recharge using USB-C. They were like $12, but they didn’t look like they could do a whole lot. They’d probably struggle with wood, but they could probably glide right through a plastic clamshell and mangle some electronics in 2 seconds. I don’t know how that would be useful to me, but at that price point I could just throw it away if I didn’t want it anymore. I could buy 20 of them and let my friends throw them away for me.
Anyway I was just looking for some new blinds at lowes, I’m big into home improvement. I don’t know why I’m rambling about these cheap drills, I’m not even sure what message board I’m on. This place is about home improvement right?
