respect for life is not respect for the individual.

trust must exist before respect is given. let me give you an example.

a cop pulls you over, you were not breaking any laws that you were aware of. the officer walks up and asks you if you know why you were pulled over. you tell him no and he proceeds to tell you that you were speeding.

you know this was a lie since you had speed control on.

did you respect the officer before or after he pulled you over?

did your level of respect change before or after he lied to you?

in my case, I never respected the officer. I understand that he’s doing a job and will help however I can. However, after he lies to me I could never trust him, thus I could never respect him.

my point is, In order for respect to exist, trust must be present first. I don’t trust strangers, even if they’re in positions of public trust.

You are right though. Respect and trust correlate to each other and fortify each other. The more trust you have in someone, the more respect you have for them, the more respect you have for someone, the more trust you have in them.

I can still trust somebody, but I can still not respect them. that relationship cannot be flipped around.

you talk like a petulant child that was never pushed to achieve more than you thought you were capable of.

    how’s that feel?

I remember every moment of my life. I remember being 10 months old laying in my crib smelling the herb garden out the window. I remember my parents never showing up to any of my school events. I remember the way the belt across my back and thighs felt when my father got home from a “hard day”. I remember spending the weekend in jail because I was doing something my father made me do.

    fuck you, asshole.

I never earned respect from them while they were alive. I didn’t even get any understanding from them. I only got yelled at, hit, and verbally abused when they felt they were losing control of their own life. respect is earned through proving you can be trusted with mature tasks. understanding should be given. understanding that a child may know to take out the trash but not know the importance of it. this makes it difficult for them to prioritize and objectively complete goals.

children need understanding from adults, to provide guidance that allows them to grow on their own power and lean on when they need support.

next time you want to attack someone based on who they are, take the entitled prick out of your mouth before you speak, asshole.

  • As a non-drinker of coffee

the rest of your opinion is moot. you have no say in this because you don’t understand the concepts behind coffee.

I had to stop drinking coffee for health reasons. it was fucking awful. drank a cup a day for decades. I couldn’t function properly even six months later.

eventually I started drinking decaf, it helped.

you know why? the routine. the caffeine content is abysmally low but it comforts me first thing in the morning. It’s probably the same for many coffee drinkers.

so really, do you want to inhabit a world where at least HALF of the people you know start their day out on the wrong side?

  • You are misunderstanding how the system is supposed to work.

no, I think you have the misunderstanding of how it actually works.

We have a responsibility to vote, but no candidate is owed a vote.

given the choice, you want your genitals mutilated or your head removed? if you choose nothing then you get both. technically you don’t need to chose, but it’s in your best interest to make the choice that allows you to survive.

The government is meant to execute the will of the people. That’s why we live in a democracy. That means that the government is supposed to work for you. The politicians are supposed to essentially be public workers that are hired via votes of the citizens.

a government is not meant to execute the will of the people. a government is meant to control and maintain a society. the people are to control the government through their will to ensure the society supports the will of the people. Unfortunately, some people forgot this and have refused to participate in the will, IE voting, and have weakened our society to the point of fracturing.

politicians are not social workers, they care about maintaining control and exerting their will on the people. the job of the people is to ensure their elected officials reflect what the goals and will of the people are. Unfortunately, some people forgot this and have refused to participate in the will, IE voting, and have weakened our society to the point of fracturing.

your views on governance and politics is so antiquated and skewed you can’t even see what’s going on in front of you because you’re so blinded by the past.

“its not fair, the gubamint should be like dis!”

No one is owed our votes. They are supposed to earn it.

no one is owed freedom, no one is owed liberty. You are supposed to fucking earn it by participating in the election and helping us move this ship away from disaster.

this election was like playing tug of war with the helm and having half of our supporters watch from the side complaining about how, “we didn’t want to go this way so we’re not going to stop the ship from crashing into those rocks.”

at one time I had hope for the future but now I can see I was wrong. We’re doomed, not by the corruption, not by the sadistic megalomania, but from arrogance and apathy that flows from lazy Americans.

  • And yes, people not voting are just trying to be left alone.

unfortunately as an adult you don’t get that luxury. if you want to be left alone, move to Uzbekistan and live in the mountains.

You’re advocating for violence against people who just want to go to work, have a beer on Friday, and feed their kids.

I’m advocating for violence against Nazis.

if they didn’t vote, who will know unless they tell. and if they tell, then they clearly want to incite, because by your definition, they “just want to go to work, have a beer on Friday, and feed their kids”. I don’t think anyone who wants that would even care enough to mention they didn’t vote, and in a few years they’ll be too ashamed to bring it up anyway.

  • So now not only do we have to vote, we also have to guess which one is the correct one with no communication.

If you have to guess which one is the bad one…

And you say there’s not a transitive power here but you keep describing a transitive power. Oh and you’ve called for violence against people who just want to be left alone.

No, I’m calling for violence against Nazis. Violence against actual Nazis is always acceptable.

I shouldn’t have to motivate you to vote, nobody should. If you’re not motivated to vote, then you accept the ramifications of your actions.

We’ll come back in six months to see how you’re feeling about it all. I’m feeling that you’re probably gonna have a great time though.
