Maybe, if another suffocating centrist like Biden gets in power they might just try to be a “moderate” about it and not free these radical lefties to appease the rightwing. It is dubious whether the center of this country has learned this lesson yet and won’t just let the next rightwing ideologue who has a nicer personal demeanor than Trump walk in and start moving the goalposts everywhere.

I hope you are right and I think there is a good chance it will, I am obviously just worried that the possibility I am sketching out is sickeningly plausible.
