I have boycotted Coors based on the piss poor taste of their beer since 2002

Since all this shit started to go down I have only been buying local craft stuff here in Canada. More specifically I try to buy only stuff produced in my city or province. It’s been a good time, found some stuff I reallllly like.

Every time there’s a boycott, its something I’m already boycotting because they either already behaved shitty in the past, or their product is shit. I keep getting told to boycott United for busting guitars or assaulting passengers, etc., but I boycotted them decades ago because they’re expensive with the shittiest service in the biz.

I’ve been boycotting Coors beer since i was 21, because it’s undrinkable.

The Coors family hasn’t owned Coor’s brewing in decades. MolsonCoors owns the brand and are a Canadian company with HQ in Chicago.

Stop! You’re complicating somebody’s oversimplified plan to pretend they’re actually taking action on something. Now they’ll have to look up from scrolling and figure out some other empty gesture.

My facts are straight. MolsonCoors owns Coors. MolsonCoors is a Canadian company. The largest shareholder in MolsonCoors is The Vangard Group followed by Blackrock.

Nothing I said warrants the rude and unhinged nature of your response.

That’s why I got a used soda stream and third party co2 cannisters, it’s not perfect but they get the minimum amount of money from me.

Then I can drink all the carbonated dishwater I want!

Are there actual third party canisters or did you fit an external co2 tank to your soda stream? I’ve been wanting to modify mine to save money on tank exchanges.

There’s also an adapter that let’s you fill the 60l sodastream bottles direct from a CO2 cylinder. I went with this, as I wanted the unit in the kitchen, but didn’t want the cylinder there.

At this point it might be easier to list all the companies that don’t support conservatives.

Coors is great for a party beer. A beer you buy to play drinking games and you’re cool with sharing. Beyond that? It’s shit.

Coors is the same has all American light beer. Made to be massively consumed. Piss water.

Check out Goods Unite Us App.

Let’s you filter which companies do what, and even see who they funded.

Once in a while, I found missing information. Fortunately, they have comments so you can give your own take or fill in additional info.

I use this app as well. It’s interesting to see which companies outright choose one party to donate to and others who play both sides. Been using the app to transition away from fascist supporting brands and products.

Been doing that for years, if you have a homebrew shop in your area, you can get started with a fairly minimal amount of cost.

Could you recommend a beginner setup? I would like to make a beer as close to Coors Light at home - kinda weird, but that’s interesting for me atm. Cheers!

you can get away with as little as a kettle for boiling wort, a fermentor setup (bucket, lid, airlock), and some stuff for bottling (siphon/hose, bottling wand, bottles, caps, and a capping tool if using glass bottles). That will allow you to start brewing extract-based beers. The next logical step is BIAB, which is the same setup except you add in a bag to hold grains and your process adds the mashing step.

I’d recommend getting at least a couple extract brews under your belt, then upgrading your setup. Prices and where to buy depends on where you are, but there’s plenty of shops throughout North America (and EU/Aus/etc) that sell equipment kits

Thank you for the direction! I’m looking forward to giving it a go - this Spring might be a good time for it.

I’ve been tossing around the idea of making my own. I love harp and bass beers. Harp is able to be found again… But bass is out of production.

So the only way I’m going to get it is make my own :/
