    I have heard that racism was prevalent in Europe in the 80’s. My mother observed that black US military members were directed to live on a different part of town from the white ones by real estate agents.

      no idea about 80s, that was in the early 2000s.

      Also had a teacher called Matamoros… The American equivalent would be “[n-word]lyncher”. They then go like “I’m not racist, I just have a racist name and heritage I want to preserve”
