    I used to not be able to do that, but I had to learn how as a result of being a gymnast (“you’re supposed to smile at the judges” - my coach, >10x every practice). She had to actually teach me how to do a convincing “fake smile” (a smile is a whole-face activity, if you miss part of it then you just look like a psycho).

    Okay, I’m curious now. Any neurotypicals in the audience, can you actually smile on command?

      Yes. I’ve got two categories of on command smiles.

      With one type I go through the physical motions of a smile.

      The other I conjure up the emotion that makes me smile and let it play out on my face. The second one looks better.
