Michigan Muslims are a thing because of the “massive” 8% population. Some prominent Michigan Muslims drank the “what did Democrats ever do for Gaza?” koolaid. Overall, Muslims are 1% the vote, and they were split between Harris, Trump, and Stein.

Wow, these are some real assholes right? These Muslims let genocide of Muslims short circuit their logic and they put 0.3% of the vote on Trump. Now Trump is hurting Muslims. Just goes to show you, or something.

Anyone that “punches down” like OP aren’t really Dems.

They may vote D, they may donate to neoliberals, but so did trump for decades.

But if they get any joy or satisfaction out of this behavior, then they’re stuck in Republican way of thinking.

Empathy is the one thing we should say is a requirement, Republicans will never prioritize it. So when Dems throw it out the window it means there’s no empathetic option

When that happens in a general, then Republicans will win elections.

So even just for completely selfish reasons, these faux Dems need to pretend to meet the minimum level of human empathy, or they’re actively helping Republicans. Even if they don’t realize it.

Yup, a sane person would be asking why the good guys are supporting a foreign genocidal states when its clearly alienating their base.

People think they lost because voters didn’t fall in line but they lost because they drew that line straight into a swamp. Weaponized incompetence.

There is this knee jerk tendency of Western progressive liberals to white knight Muslims when Muslim get criticized even if it is completely deserved and handing out that criticism is in line with progressive views.

According to exit polls, Muslims went from 88% for Biden, to 55% for Harris. (Technically, I read 88% Biden to 45% Trump. Votes were split between more than 2 people.) So 3,800 Muslims for Trump, 4,600 Muslims not for Trump. Meanwhile, almost everyone in that city is white. Very rough numbers but that’s like 39,000 whites / Christians people voting for Trump.

I think the whole “this single moment is what cost him the championship” is ridiculous in sports, it’s worse to single out 1/12th the population and say they broke the camel’s back.

Which exit poll are you using? There were conflicting ones at the time. Overall the numbers aren’t large enough to make a difference but Im just curious which one you used.

And the title contains a false statement made to make people feel like a group of “others” are really to blame…

If you don’t understand how that parallels Republican ideology, you’re making my point that the people who dunk on others can’t think like Democrats.

Because Republicans always think they’re the Normandy assume everyone agrees with them.

The reason America is so fucked up is 30 years ago those people took over the Dem party under the lable “modern neoliberalism”.

That’s why there’s such a large disconnect between dem voters and dem leadership. And why turnout has been depressed and Republicans have been winning.

Luckily for everyone, the neoliberals are out of party leadership now, and even if you all vote R like you did when Obama was the candidate, neoliberals voters are statistically insignificant.

You won’t win Republicans the election, you won’t lose it for Democrats.

Because we get sooo many votes from traditional non voters when we don’t have to ask them to hold their noses.

They are and often do. Tho as far as conservative Hispanics go its more about religion than nationalism, so to evaluate where they stand its more about how Catholics vote (who are often more politically diverse than the evangelical core)

exactly. I think white people tend to forget that’s the factor at play. Honestly if white magatards weren’t so horned up for by-the-books skin tone racism they probably could have had the Latino vote make them undefeatable for the forseen future. Probably before democrats could make enough progress in deradicalizing Catholicism.

I admit I don’t know how beholden Latino-specific Catholicism is to the Vatican. from my uninformed position it looks less attached.

I’d say we’re split 50-50. Our culture is both surprisingly liberal but only religiously conservative in some areas. Generally, if they’re not religious, Latin Americans don’t give a damn how you lead your life. You could be a prostitute in broad daylight and people will notice but nobody bats an eye*. Idk what happens to those who cross the border and later believe themselves special and reformed.

It’s not a coincidence to say that the worst enemy of Latinos is other Latinos outside of our home countries. I’ve felt that hatred, and it’s unequivocally conservative.

          • I’m only giving that example because I saw at least 4 sex workers on my way to work this week. High heels and fish nets at noon in the searing sun? Girl, your brave. 😅

      They weren’t drinking any kool-aid.

They were literally watching friends and family get bombed with impunity and zero action from the Biden Administration. (Unless you count silencing journalists who had the balls to ask questions about it in public press conferences.)

Then, they got two ‘Uncommitted’ delegates elected in the Michigan Democratic primaries, with the express public goal of demonstrating in a public way the extent to which they wanted the Biden Administration to stop sending American bombs to Israel.

The Democrats’ response was: “Go fuck yourself.”

      Of course these people flipped.

They don’t support Donald Trump, they just hate you, and with good reason.
