I think this is the best picture I’ve ever taken, so far. I always endeavor to improve, which is why I’m going to school for this. I’m actually going to submit this as homework!

Thanks for seeing my work!

I mean it, it’s printed and I’m gonna turn it in.

(Granted, it’s just a community college course, but my skills have grown a lot, I think!)

Do the cascades really have an accent differing from Denver accents? (Unless you are on the Canadian side, but then it’s usually very subtle.)

It does. The further towards the Deep South I go, the more I’m asked if I’m Canadian.

I was called out for my accent in a burger shop a half hour after I showed up in town, when the cashier said “hell yeah, I lived in Eugene until a couple months ago,” in a similar accent, entirely unprompted.

I do like the way you’ve subverted conventions. You’ve all those strong leading lines leading to … nothing. Instead, the beauty is on the far right, out of the way. and the rest just contrasts that beauty with urban.

I love this kind of “gazing back and forth” that I feel, wanting to naturally follow the line down the street while also being drawn back to the butterfly mural. Great photo!
