Something tells me gamers know this, and you lot know this, and so does Square Enix, but someone somewhere prefers to limit the meaning of a.i. to LLM-based chatbot, for whatever stupid reason.
Historically, yes; however, the article says this will be Gemini. So it’s an AI agent that’s going to play the game because you’ll be able to “converse” with it and it’ll help in fights. I do wonder who’s going to be fronting that cost.
