      Its also a term used to describe a human assisting a machine, from the historical Mechanical Turk which was a chess automoton that actually had a chessmaster inside of it operating it.

      Yes, I’m well aware, which is why I was thinking it was a fun thing to mention. As someone explained why Amazon called it that way back then.
      And now we seem to have the opposite situation, or something?

      There is probably a joke to be made about Indian call centers finding work as mechanical turks for AI, I guess? Feels a tiny bit racist though.
