I’ve started up DS3 again after a 1-2-year break and am having lots of fun. Just defeated Oceiros after defeating all three lords and Dancer of the Boreal Valley and am looking forward to seeing what’s next.

No, grinding levels already felt like cheating, so no difficulty slider for me please :3 and I see what you mean about the final boss. I knew I would have to take out Geppetto as well somehow!

I don’t know yet, but it seems challenging. Just had a single go last night, because I beat Simon super late and had to go to bed. But i got through its first phase and then he went crazy and I died :P

There’s a couple strats you can try besides going for near-perfect play and parries if you want those. Nothing spectacular, but it helped me a little the first time around iirc
Well I ended up using the elec grinder, which helped a lot with actually dealing some damage. And then instead of trying to parry/dodging him I used the aegis to just block him.
I read there was some cheesy technique to get perfect parries in with the aegis. I tried that but never managed to actually succeed at it :p but it did give me the breathing room to actually get some openings and deal some damage. And then he dead :p
I would have suggested the same thing with aegis and electricity - beat me to it then :D
Damn, didn’t even take you that you long then? I remember it took me several days of trying at least. Will you be going for the DLC next?
Well it took my most of yesterday to beat him. Find that long :p and no actually I will be playing Dark Souls - for the first time!
