Is there any legal way to purchase GTA 2 for PC?

It got de-listed from Steam, it’s not on GoG either.

That is very much not their official website. Looks pretty sketchy in fact, with that “GTA V Download APK” link on the bottom.

I just downloaded and tested on Linux and it was the actual game. Loaded up and played fine. Filesize matches to the original release too.

Edit: On both of those files. Still wouldn’t go near that gtav apk link though and I’d sandbox if I was running these on windows.

It was available free from Rockstar, a few years back but it looks like the link doesn’t work any more. They took it off sale at the same time.

I’d grab it from archive.org or something, given they already set the price at “free”

Buy a used copy of GTA 2 from someone who purchased it legally.

    Good luck finding one.

I know it’s not what you asked for, but I remember a couple of years ago someone making a game heavily inspired by GTA 2. Never got around to playing it myself, but it looked good.

Can’t find it right now though. Googling gave me Glitchpunk, which looks similar, though not as I remember it. And apparently it’s stuck as early access and might be dead. Maybe someone else will remember that other game I remember.

To my knowledge, no. I was searching for GTA 1 and 2 as well and could not find a legal way to purchase them for PC. Maybe someone has the games as a gift, so would probably sell this way. Or old still active keys sold in certain shops. But those are grey areas. There was also a period of time when Rockstar gave those games away I believe.

Whatever you do, I would be very careful not to fall in a scam trap. Also lot of free .exe downloads are probably infested with malware. The only way to play those games for me is, to emulate them.
