No. That does not mean they have to program in both languages. If the programmer only understand one language (which would be a shame), then they only need to program in their field. This increases the talent base, not reduces it. C programmers do not need to be a Rust expert, so what in the world are you saying there? They just need to cooperate!

Mozilla is not allowed to make advertisements (even with the goal of privacy respecting ads), Mozilla is not allowed to get money from Google and Mozilla is not allowed to sell Firefox. These are some of the problems Mozilla is facing. I’m personally not entirely against ads, if its done right (respecting my privacy and not being annoying, also not trying to scam me).

People shit on Mozilla and Firefox, but there is no alternative. Forks off course are alternatives, but without Mozilla’s Firefox, there wouldn’t be forks. Google, Microsoft and Apple are way, waaay worse.

So it connects to Google Cloud for this? What does that mean “locally”, if its a Cloud Platform? And what does that mean “Mozilla’s”, if its Google? I’m a bit confused with this sentence.

Does it download and execute it locally offline or does it send the data to Google Cloud Platform?? The page is not clear about this and I searched for an answer. I have the same Mistral 7B model that I downloaded from HuggingFace website and can use offline with a specific GUI application. It would be nice if I could Firefox point to that file instead.

For me neither. I use it out of habit instead normal copy. But it never did anything for me. I have couple of security and privacy extensions installed, so I thought maybe one of them gets it in the way for some reason.

I used Ventoy (its still on my USB stick). Its actually a pretty cool concept. Normally without Ventoy, you would flash your Linux distribution on the USB stick. And then you can boot from it, right?

Ventoy instead allows you to have a folder where you put an ISO without flashing it, and then you can boot from it by selecting in the menu. You just need to flash Ventoy once, as the base system, then you can put as many ISO files into that directory. I tested it and have 7 different Linux distributions (ranging from 1 GB to 4 GB variants) on the same USB stick, and I can boot any of them without flashing again. Replacing ISO is extremely easy, just delete it and copy a new one. Filenames does not matter, anything can be found.

I remember being hyped for the launch of the game, because this looked amazing. It was one of the few live service games I waited for. Then it happened, they went with an exclusivity deal on Epic Games store and it was over for me. And apparently for the game, because it was shutdown as I remember.

I never heard they posted a free version with servers you could host yourself. Why nobody told me! This is actually the best possible case (besides going Open Source) for live service games that shutdown.
