Hmm, an aging population and the job/company market are going to exacerbate this even more. How do we fix it:
-
Democrats: Let’s keep doing exactly what we’ve been doing since the 60s! With leaders from the 60s! Strangles Madami in the corner.
-
Republicans: Let’s cut immigration (the only thing making our population skew young), make healthcare even more private, tax/inflame all our manufacturing suppliers, and make life even more miserable for child bearing women! Oh, and blow up the national debt so none of this can be fixed later. Now buy our crypto, YOLO!
Aging and obese population
Yeah.
In principle, I like “MAHA” and Kennedy’s idea of shaking up the health status quo (and food corps), though the execution is horrific.
I gained a few pounds, but I’m still in shock over the weight gains I seen since the 1970s.
I guess the only way to describe it to younger people who did not see it, is to imagine most people today putting in an extra 200 pounds on top of what they weigh now.
That is the same ratio of weight increase I saw over the last 50 years

Can someone translate for the colorblind?
in 1990, the map is predominately represented by manufacturing, in 2025 it’s predominantly healthcare.
Trump will fix this by kicking millions of people off their health care and then the nurses and doctors can go back to the factories where they belong.
people be olding
Nevada and Hawaii the only states that didn’t change. Wonder what happens if you take away the Vegas Strip from Nevada.
Alabama, Kentucky, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa
Oh shit all the still-blue ones completely missed my mind.
It’s not Health Care … it’s the HEALTH INDUSTRY
The American medical system has nothing to do with actually caring for sick people or helping them with their health
Medical services industry. It’s not even health anymore.
*wealth care industry.
It is not intended to heal American citizens, it is intended to make rich people richer.
Does Utah label MLMs as retail and that is why it is the top employer?
🤣
Mormons and Amway. Name a more iconic duo.
Would hospitality include prisons?
or hospitals?
There’s still enough manufacturing in the US for it to be top anything?
NH Retail economy is sustained by all the burnt out healthcare workers from MA going there to buy liquor tax free
What’s going on in Wyoming?
Literally nothing, ever.
Yellowstone and some playgrounds for the ultra-rich are like the whole economy.
‘Professional services’
Either CIA or Bullshit job
——> Virginia
Well,well,well
Virginia is home to a SHIT ton of defense contractors. If it was broken down by county, the Northern Virginia and the eastern counties would probably be all professional services and the rest would be healthcare.
Loudon is also the wealthiest county in America. One would assume it would be a suburb of NYC or Silicon Valley as finance and tech hubs but nah, the county with all the defense contractors and lobbyists is #1.
