The thing that really puts a Star Trek show over the top is the chemistry between the crew, and SNW has that in spades. Pike is now my favorite captain.

My GF didn’t watch much Trek until she met me, and since then she’s watched everything from TNG onwards. Even for a relatively new fan she agrees that Discovery just didn’t feel like Star Trek even though she liked the show.

But her favorite Star Trek show is definitely The Orville.

Part of the reason I hate people is I put a ton of effort into trying not to be a jerk, stressing myself out with constant worry from monitoring my behavior at all times, but other people don’t seem to give anyone else the same courtesy.

And that doesn’t even get into how hard it is for me to relate to almost everyone. I watch weird TV shows, listen to weird music, read weird books, and have weird hobbies. Outside of the weather I don’t really have anything to talk to them about, despite their seemingly constant need for interaction.

There are far, far better examples of the undemocratic nature of US elections than having deadlines for filing paperwork.

And if a party can’t even get paperwork filed on time, how are they going to do anything more significant?

I don’t disagree that it’s not democratic and full of bullshit rules. But don’t complain you can’t win a shitty game if you don’t play by its rules.
