Hard to imagine Europeans will buy these tanks at $7.50 a gallon for gas, narrow roads and very tight parking spaces, even for subcompacts.

All those big, hated parking companies should really lobby against this. They’ll have to rebuild most of the parking houses and repaint/mark all the parking lots to make room for these monstrosities. That would cost them quite a lot and result in fewer spaces. 🫣

They wouldn’t, it would be self regulating. If you can’t park (for example in an underground garage) you can’t shop at your fav store. Usually the only other viable parking in the big cities is blocks aways. People would catch on quickly.

But you can park. You just can’t park reasonably, so you’ll take up two spaces and half the driveway, but you can park.

      Not much chance

President Trump is set to announce a rollback of fuel economy standards that were tightened under the Biden administration, aiming to reduce vehicle costs and increase consumer choice.

Yeah, and even with all that, those megacars are still bad and too energyslurping.

I prefer that they be converted to scrap. Keyed, wheels locked, anything.

I’m certain China will thank him. They will continue to improve EVs while the United States goes back a few decades. 🙄
