The tiniest of silver linings is that there’s a good chance of getting rid of the NFA once and for all. However, I would gladly push that date back if it meant the big shit bill hadn’t passed.

So if I want a surpressor, where do I stand as of today? Still have to apply, just pay nothing? I honestly don’t understand this.

Also, I thought the Parliamentarian struck this provision in it’s entirety?

Starting Jan 1st, 2026, you still have to do all the NFA paperwork, fingerprints, and notifications. You just don’t pay the tax.

The Parliamentarian said no to getting rid of the paperwork and fingerprinting. Which I think is BS, because the only reason any of that exists is to track who pays the tax. At least on paper.
