If you’re were actually concerned you’d be directing scorn at the sources of the problem: the democratic party that refuses to fight fascism, not the electorally insignificant number of lefties who fight against fascism but didn’t vote.

Lies like yours distort people’s perception of what the problem is, making unified opposition to this fascist coup harder.

It’s pretty ridiculous to suggest that someone who doesn’t even bother to put in the effort to vote is seriously fighting fascism

That’s like saying no-one could be fighting climate change if they’ve ever thrown away a bottle instead of recycling it.

Voting for someone who takes money from the same corporate donors who fund fascism can have some but only very minimal impact on fascism. I still do it, but i won’t fault people who focus on organising, mutual aid, direct action and other activities that directly fight fascism.

Voting every few years is not demanding perfection as you imply. It is a very simple, somewhat impactful action that in terms of effect per unit of effort almost certainly beats any form of education or organization.

I’m not implying that. I always hold my nose and vote for the least bad option. I’m just under no illusions about the mininal impact of voting in an oligarchic system.

Change comes from organizing: educating, joining with others, activism. Without that, change will never be offered at the ballot.

        It’s not ridiculous at all.

If you’re serious about fighting fascism you’ll likely catch some charges and be unable to vote.
