    This painting is from Gethsemane, the garden where Jesus spent the night before his betrayal and capture. The Gospels specifically say that Jesus was alone, his disciples asleep, when he prayed like in the painting.

    Here’s the thing. If he was alone, and arrested immediately afterward, how do we know what he was doing? Or what he said, in a private prayer? Did he have Siri recap turned on?

    Anyway, not the biggest contradiction in the New Testament, but I think it’s interesting.
