tl;dr Canada is doing retaliatory tariffs targeting red states, Iran is making gas more expensive. Both are happening during the midterms.

I live in Florida, and I’m sure Canadians are staying away, for now. I’m cool with that. Plenty of nice places in Canada to visit. Spend your money in your own country, we don’t deserve it.

I was pleased to learn that cons are getting targeted again for their own choices and of course they are salty about it. “How dare you bring politics into this!” they squeal as everyone is suffering for their fucking choices. They don’t give a fuck if ICE is tackling gardeners and disappearing them, but now that they might be getting harmed by their golden god-emperor’s trade war…now they suddenly want to be “apolitical”

Also, the idea of being able to track where your food comes from, is a great one.
Those that voted for donnie, but now don’t want to admit it, act like the people they are asking for support should be “purple” - meaning that people should ignore what conservatives fucking voted for and support them even if they were full-on “maga” ranchers that were calling for things like mass deportation.
Trump’s already doing that to them with his policies, they just crave being in abusive relationships.
But TACO can (and will) stop and reverse course when politically beneficial. External pressure doesn’t have a quick “off” switch, which is why I’m hopeful that other countries can REALLY inflict some pain on the confused red states
