Why open your wallet, Muskrat? You know the voting machines really well.

Why open your wallet, Muskrat? You know the voting machines really well.

With Congress, the GOP and dempublicans will just keep passing more stuff that hurts us.

No one is telling anybody not to vote. I think most of us here, if not all, are going to vote. And most will probably be voting blue, despite objections of a lot of us having establishment dem candidates.
We just don’t have a lot of confidence in how this is going to turn out. It doesn’t look good at all.

He’d be a terrible as a socialist politician. Corrupt and inept. It’s people like him that allow the right to paint the left with a broad brush.
Unfortunately, California can’t seem to escape the constant succession of shit governors.

A deeply incompetent individual who wasted tens of billions of tax dollars meant for public projects that failed. Also a corporate shill and bought off by government worker employee unions in order to support a $265 billion unfunded pension liability the state won’t be able to pay off. It’s a widely abused system where people get 110% of their income for the rest of their life and many double-dip to get two pensions. All private workers are stuck struggling and their retirement future is not so bright. Yet, California manages to have some of the highest tax rates and fees in the nation. So if they’re not openly corrupt, it’s definitely implied.
Socialism works when it’s run by competent, ethical individuals. Unfortunately, there are no legal consequences to bad actors who use their political office for financial gains.

Don’t underestimate the lethality of a scared, cornered animal.

Psyop propaganda to justify throwing the election.
These fascist fucks already know what they’re going to do.

I mean…. Do we really want them working in order to do even more damage?
At this point, Congress as a whole seems to be hurting us a lot more than helping us.

This was the entire point. Nullify the DOJ to create immunity, and disregard the law themselves. Then twist it and weaponize it towards the people opposing them.
This is where we’re at. Remember when we were screaming about project 2025 and everyone was trying to tell us to calm down, saying “They’d never be able to do that?”
Well, they did it.
Fascists don’t seize power all at once. They test, backtrack and go two steps forward. They utilize the boiling frog effect.

I’m all ears. Where do we start? Who’s organizing a nationwide operation? What time and place? What’s the plan?
Are we prepared to be beaten, imprisoned and killed?
Should I attempt to be a one-man operation?
Will there be snacks and drinks?
Who’s in on this, anyone? We need at least about 5-10 million of us to stand a chance. Are we going to occupy Washington and be prepared to deal with armed struggle? It would be “fun” to Zerg the White House and burn it to the ground. A lot of us will probably get mowed down in the process.

The decaying institutions of a capitalist liberal democracy cannot stop the rising tide of fascism, it can only slow it down.

With electronic voting machines and ICE intimidating voters at polling places in battleground districts? That’s exactly what they want.

Realistically, people won’t be ready until the bootheel of the oppressor is on all of their throats. It has to reach the point where people would rather sacrifice their lives than live under the suffering.
The American revolution was enabled by the Puritan mindset. People believed if they sacrificed themselves for the noble cause, they would meet their maker in an eternal paradise. That allowed the threshold for violent overthrow to be much lower.
Plus it was motivated by economic freedom and desire for the dollar. The revolutionaries were motivated by mercantilist objectives, aka, the power of greed and the almighty dollar. We know the desire for wealth and property easily inspires violence.
Socialism is a moral movement. The entry point is a lot higher.
Science has secularized society, so most down with our cause know, you just get this one unique life and when you’re dead, you’re dead forever. That makes people a lot more hesitant.
I have a hard time believing the capitalist class is going to allow socialism without the threat of violence.
Sadly many will have to witness their family members, friends and neighbors thrown in prison, abused and killed for opposing the Epstein class’ regime, before their rage overcomes their fear. There’s already more than one enraged person out there, but their numbers are not yet big enough to be a genuine threat. When enough people cross the threshold, they will finally organize.
I think for the sake of one’s mental health, it’s more optimistic to look at material conditions and realize fascism at this juncture is unavoidable. The material conditions right now are not conducive to change. They’ve already seized the levers of power, and the decayed mechanisms of liberal capitalist democracy likely can’t stop it, only slow it down. If you can formulate a plan to emigrate, it’s best to do it now. I think this would be the wisest course of action.
Places like Uruguay are happily encouraging asylum and immigration. Entry level tech jobs there require no degree, and they have the least corruption and highest level of queer acceptance in the Americas.
Accepting this allows one to released the agonizing false hope narrative that we’ll be saved by the electorialism.
In fact you would be helping the cause, by contributing to massive brain drain that leads to the collapse of the wealth pyramid. Dumb, incompetent people can’t effectively run a nation without it eventually falling apart.
By any means possible, try to leave and let the MAGA red hats rot in their dystopian capitalist hell.
If you can’t do that? Than be prepared to fight, because it’s gonna get worse. My 46-year-old aging ass will probably pull a muscle doing barrel rolls with an AK-47 during guerilla combat. My record on first-person shooters suggests I’m not an effective military combatant and would likely be dead within 10 seconds.

They’re just adding legitimacy to the socialist cause.

On a serious note, from a liberal perspective, it’s sad this has become normalized.
From a socialist perspective: Yay, accelerationism!

Abrahamic religions need to be first subjugated to the state, and churches need to be taxed. Religious education needs to be outlawed and completely scrubbed clean from public education.
Fanatics of semitic religions are dangerous and will always try to seize power by usurping the power of the state under the pretense of religious freedom, enforcing their religion upon everyone, and leading the degeneration of social and scientific progress.
The “moderates” just stand by and enable it.
In the end, the Yahwehnites ultimately need to be suppressed and their culture gradually eliminated from public consciousness. Their “religious freedom” will always subjugate intellectual freedom and lead to the persecution of the “others” who don’t follow their cults.
It’s like letting the crazy person on the street corner take the reins of society.
It just isn’t the politician themselves. El-Sayed is a winner because of his platform, and he isn’t bought off by AIPAC and the corporate establishment.
That’s all the people want. They want representation that actually represents their interests, not more corrupt establishment politicians that take orders from oligarchs and corporate boardrooms.
They don’t want drone strikes, wars on false pretenses, bailouts of financial institutions, genocide, half-assed capitalist attempts at healthcare reform, and zero accountability for corrupt politicians. When Bernie came along and said we need to remove money from politics. DING DING DING we have a winner!
That was NOT Hilary or Kamala.
I’ll keep voting blue, because I don’t have a viable choice and I don’t want to cast my vote directly for fascists. Not voting is just another vote for fascism. But damn, we need better candidates. With “allies” like Hakeem Jeffries, who needs enemies?
