    On windows, it takes me two steps:

    • Open powershell
    • winget install -q vlc

    I still prefer Linux though, for many other reasons.

      Yeah, was going to say the same thing. I prefer Linux too but I think they are intentionally doing an unfair comparison here.

      not even…just find the downloaded executable, aim your mouse and double click the install icon…go!

        True, but I’ve moved to using winget for everything that allows it, as I can then update allllll my programs with one command just like Linux, no more searching for and downloading updated installers, this does it all:

        winget upgrade --all
