The organizations propping him up are well-coordinated and dedicated to an actual set of coherent values, which are terrible for the average person. A Trump assassination would allow them the ability to use martyrdom to market an otherwise unpalatable candidate who is either already sincerely on board with their values or will at least follow their marching orders. It’s enough of a concern that there’s a real possibility the potential assassin could be something like this:
