Zelensky thanked Netanyahu for “warm congratulations” and said Ukraine and Israel share “deep bonds.” He vowed to work together for “more security.” But Israel is an imperialist, expansionist state – occupying, bombing, colonizing. Just like Russia. If Zelensky can’t condemn both, his criticism of Russia is empty. You cannot cry about your own land being taken while supporting the theft of someone else’s. Same crimes, same imperial logic. Selective empathy is not morality.

      Is it propaganda or reality? Don’t you agree that Russia and Israel are the same devil? If not, does Russia not being imperialist or expansionist, and having the right to invade Ukraine, mean that’s what you’re saying?

    I think it’s more “The devil you know”. Zelensky can see who has their arm up donald’s ass running the puppet show. Netanyahu has the power to say “Don, bby, we could really use those patriots more” and Ukraine gets fucked. Which is obviously antithetical to Zelensky’s current goals.

    If the EU would step the fuck up and pick up the slack from the US’s failing help; then Zelensky might be able to afford some virtue signaling without getting more of his people killed by doing so.

    This post shouldn’t even be controversial. Israel is a giant war criminal committing genocide against the Palestinians, and continuing their illegal settlements stealing land from Palestine.
    Currently they are also engaged in an illegal war against Iran that was completely unprovoked, that they convinced USA to join because Trump is an asshat.

    Israel is to Palestine what Russia is to Ukraine, and Zelensky and half of Europe are acting like they aren’t for some reason?

      True but Iran also supplied Shaheds to Russia (and later Shahed schematics) that kill Ukrainians on a daily basis. Ukraine sees Iran as their enemy.

      I think Ukraine needs the Patriot interceptors that are now used in the Gulf region. If it weren’t for this, I’m sure there is little sympathy for the Iranian regime in Kyiv.

        Nobody likes the Iranian regime or even have any sympathy for them.
        But the Iranian people are living through hell, because of decades of baseless sanctions against Iran, and now the war has made it even worse.
        Israel and USA have pushed Iran out of diplomatic reach. When nobody wants to deal with Iran but China and Russia, that’s who they will deal with.
        So it’s basically the fault of USA and Israel that Iran is supporting Russia. Iran had nowhere else to go.

          Ukraine is fighting for their survival and Iran is partially at fault for this. Why would Ukraine care about giving Iran a free pass for their crimes just because the US pushed them?

            I’m not claiming Iran should have a free pass, but their interest in NOT supporting Israel is obviously the maintaining of international law, which is absolutely in Ukrainian interest.
            Russia broke international law with their illegal invasion of Ukraine. USA should help Ukraine with that, instead of participating in their own illegal war with Israel.
            And again it’s not like Iran had much choice, they have been forced into the arms of China and Russia. So USA is also at fault for Iran supplying Russia with drones.
