I’d like to know how having a guillotine is illegal. Until it is used, or attempted to be used, wouldn’t it just be an invocotive art piece and protected as free expression? What if it was non-functional, would that make a legal difference? Would it be considered the same as a plugged cannon or other non-functional piece of military equipment? If he had a vinyl sticker of a guillotine on the truck instead, similar to that of an AR-15 some folks have, would that be different?
I can see him being questioned as to intent, though being charged with something seems dubious at best.
The us, and maybe most of the world, the laws are just suggestions. The police and their masters do what they want. Maybe beat the rap but not the ride.

It’s absolutely legal to own and transport a guillotine. Cops here are way out of line.
