74·4 days agoWe’re gonna see that in the US before we see it in Russia. At least Russians have free education and free healthcare mandated by their constitution.
Israelis are the inventors of the “double tap” tactic to take out rescue workers, medical workers, and even more civilians, the people who are helping. It’s absolutely sick. Oh and Obama utilized and popularized this tactic during his regime during which he dropped over 26,000 bombs on seven different countries (but don’t let the “vote blue no matter who” crowd know or they’ll attack me).
Fighting the liberals instead of the fascists? That’s like saying you’re choosing to eat an apple instead of a piece of fruit. Apples are fruit, too. Liberals are fascists, too.

I mean Zelensky is a big fan and supporter of Israel. And also a fascist dictator who has shut down news outlets, banned political parties, and cancelled elections in Ukraine. So this tracks. Although not sure what these means for all the out and proud Bandera-worshipping Nazis in the Ukrainian government and armed forces. They’re probably immune because they’re basically Zelensky’s secret police who, among other things, slaughter ethnic Russians in the Donbas, abduct men off the streets for forced conscription, and murder Ukrainian leftists and socialists who engage in activism against the Zelensky regime.

- The Wings Upon Her Back by Samantha Wells (grimdark steampunk!)
- The World is Full of Divorced Women by Jackie Collins (racy 70s chick lit)
- Blue Skinned Gods by SJ Sindu (a blue boy in Tamil Nadu, India is believed to be the reincarnation of a Hindu god)
- Invisible Doctrine: The Secret History of Neoliberalism by George Monbiot & Peter Hutchison (freedom only for the rich while the rest of us are oppressed, surveilled, and exploited)
27 million Soviets lost their lives to German Nazis in WWII. 13.7 million of those were civilians. The largest losses of human life in WWII. Modern Russians still revere communists like Lenin even though their current state is not communist. Communists are ideologically on the opposite end of the spectrum than Nazis.
Even US-funded propaganda abroad Radio Free Europe acknowledges that Putin is not a fascist: “The experts generally believe that Putin’s Russia is not fascist. Although they note the existence of some similarities between Putinism and fascism, such as revanchism and “hypermasculine authority”, they argue that Putin’s Russia lacks the mass mobilization and the revolutionary nationalism which were fundamental characteristics of fascist movements.”
Nazism and fascism are far-right, authoritarian, and ultranationalist. Putin may be his own flavor of evil, but he’s a traditionalist oligarch, not a Nazi or an imperialist, which many falsely claim.
Again <30% want independence from China
The “government” of Taiwan is the equivalent of if MAGA invaded Hawaii and claimed that the rest of the continental US was now called Hawaii and ruled by them. The Taiwanese govt is a historically far-right US puppet govt that is one of the biggest supporters of Israel and its genocide. And according to polling in Taiwan, less than 30% of Taiwanese people want independence from China.
Imperialism is capitalism. Imperialism is the financial exploitation (i.e. resource theft, wealth extraction) of the entire world by a handful of monopolies, not “big country does war and trade deals”. Social Democrats are welfare capitalists. Since capitalism is destroying all of us, welfare capitalists certainly aren’t going to get us out of this mess. They only make capitalism more tolerable for the already oppressed working class so that capitalists, monopolies, and big banks can continue to rake in the dough by exploiting the already impoverished poor.
