absolutely not lol.
absolutely not lol.
hmmm, my family couldn’t afford vacations. when we visited family out of state we’d always have someone house sit to take care of the animals. usually a neighbor.
being the youngest boy and the biggest lover of animals, i became the default to do that for out neighbors when they were out.
it was a lovely little neighborhood.
but also, back then social media was young and pretty much only young people were on it. for my parents to give me advice about what to put on my blogspot or Facebook would have made me guffaw. hell, correctly identifying the platform and that one could share vacation plans on it would have been a big ask.
ooh yeah, a good tooltip on mouseover would be perfect.
there is quite a bit of granularity to the options these days if you haven’t tried it in a bit. I was able to make it work more or less exactly how i wanted.
yeah, I’ve got it set to off by default. i used it almost like a spoiler tag. click the button to see the answer to “THIS AMAZING DEVICE DOES WHAT???”
or mobas, or rts, or fifa, or whatever the fuck genre dead by daylight is, or pvp craft survival…
pvp has just become inherently toxic.
i mean, it’s the right that’s currently trying to make laws banning trans care. the left just wants them to be left alone. as soon as the right stops trying to ban them the left will stop having anything to complain about
the only reason Android was locked out of imessage was Apple, the only reason rcs is locked out of ios is Apple. it’s all Apple trying to keep the wall around its garden.
man IDK, i know a lot of vegans and none of them are silent about it. they’re all deeply passionate people and that’s not necessarily bad, but they’re definitely not quiet.
because some people don’t think those are an end all be all solution even if they can identify the problem.
problem and solution are not tied together yet. right now we only have the problem. this poster is indicating that they aren’t sold on those being the solutions. there are many paths forward, it’s fair to not know which one is right yet.
hell, it’s more unreasonable to say you KNOW your solution will fix this. none of these economic systems have been successfully tested in large scale. they are all just theoretical. to change to a new one is scary and dangerous and must be done with much thought, consideration, and care.
idk, it all kind of instantly made him like… more transparent?
i used to think he had a problem and people on the Internet were going to kill him. i now realize i was falling for his character and it’s all been part of the show. i work in tv, i should know better…
it didn’t actually say she did that as a job. this is more like when a teenager gets their pilot licence, it sounds like. a difficult goal that they set and achieved at an early age. it’s literally just a license that says she passed a test of skill.
this isn’t necessity about labor at all. it’s about someone being really good at what the do. idk about you, but I’d rather still see sushi chefs that are skilled like this in a post capitalist society.
more disk shaped than flash memory.
FUCK.
that’s my hometown.
haven’t been there in years, but i used to walk there a lot. i typically just had to walk on the grass or in the ditch next to the road. then i had to plan my entire route around where i could cross the roads. very very few places to do that, and almost none that were safe.
got harassed by the cops once because i was walking at night with a flashlight in that town. walking is so uncommon there that it’ll get the police called on you.
also, more town than city.
same kind of crazy line formed there when they got chick-fil-a and portillo’s. it’s in Wisconsin, so they got chick-fil-a late and portillo’s early in their respective spreads across the country.
from what I understand the majority of spice trade man then was for dyes and perfumes rather than seasoning food.
huh, i live in a town North of Denver, so not the city, and i have like 8 of them nearby. half the gas stations that have atms have them.
there is a lot of tech work around here, maybe that’s why.
yeah, but they have an easy instant right click to send to camp button. it’s really not a hindrance.
hbo’s Rome did it right. they show it one time and it’s in response to arrow fire.
otherwise they have legates organizing spear lines and using whistles to time and position them. it was actually quite well done.
honestly, I always feel so much more part of the conversation here. on Reddit, unless you time it just right and browse young posts, chances are your comment will never be seen. on here you’ll be one of 50 top level comments at most. and that’s only the biggest threads. it would be nice to see more activity on more threads, but often when i comment on something with no comments it’s enough to start the conversation.
almost none of my comments here get ignored, and the conversations that come out of them feel better. unless it’s about Linux. you people are insane and unapproachable when it comes to operating systems. not because you’re wrong, you’re just… a lot.
lol, America is nearly equal in size to ALL of Europe. they are within 5% of each other.
it’s like bread. if you only ever saw white bread on sandwiches you might be confused to hear about someone loving a good sourdough or rye from the bakery.
