‘Seven legged turbo spider’ just seemed pretentious.

You probably downvoted one slop post. Or criticized AI one time.
Just look at the community moderation and laugh.
DnD 3rd, was taking a break from being DM. Made a human rogue who was the half brother of another player’s half orc rogue. We had a plan to be kinda brutish thugs who used flanking for fun and profit, even had a good chit chat going as the very first session started.
First fight of the campaign about 30 minutes in, we come across an ogre. Getting our early initiatives my character and his half brother flank and put a little damage in, everyone else goes, then the ogre goes after me for doing the most damage.
Critical hit with almost max damage, doing double HP and killing my character outright on the first attack. I laughed and excused myself for a few,l saying to carry on. When I got back they asked if I wanted to undo it and the answer was no, I’d have another character ready to join part way through. They had a funeral and the half orc now had a vendetta against the bandits that had led us to the ogre!
My next character was a cheric of WeeJas who believed every action was fated using circular logic. A fantastic one two combo!
This photo makes me happy. Just the right about of found absurdity with the perfect framing.

1·6 months agoThe mods that banned me for ‘systemic down voting’ and ‘anti-ai harassment’ because I down voted a few AI posts and didn’t feel bad also lectured me about how horrible down voting is and how much it hurts the fediverse.
My upvote to down vote ratio is far better than either of those two mods.

1·6 months agoYes, a few of the mods will ban anyone who downvotes AI or misinformation without making a comment or because you downvoted ‘too many times’ or some other bullshit. My ‘systemic downvoting’ and ‘anti-ai harassment’ community bans are for downvoting a few posts and not being sorry about it.

I didn’t know Master Roshi was unaging (anymore) or that Killin really doesn’t have a nose. Thought the lack of nose was just a drawing style thing.
The early stuff sounds a lot more entertaining!

1·7 months agoNot even a new thing either. Barely any jobs are done because people want to do specific types of work, and those jobs tend to be severely underpaid (teaching, social services).
People didn’t flock to factories in the 60s and 70s because they wanted to work in a factory, they wanted the pay and benefits. Same for office work today.

My guess is that women who have had their pain dismissed for their entire lives fall into the trap of internalizing the dismissal.

Ditching the cracker and the barrel was a good idea, the old logo was way too busy and detailed. I’m sure wanting to be able to have it be lower resolution and printed for cheaper was the reason for the change. But by retaining a few of the distinguishing features of the original it would have been a great change.
So here is the change:
Either of these that I made it paint just now would have been far superior by retaining just the smallest additional detail!
The fact that they did a shit job is the main reason for the push back, not just change by itself. They really did a shit job. Also, I really like my version of the new logo with the barrel details, that is all it would have taken!
