Yeah, an opinion you can’t handle, you call it ‘bait’. Whatever, dude. Keep coping around the reality that people think and will say things you won’t like to read. Boo-hoo.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Instead of everyone leaving NATO, could everyone else just kick the US out?
1·3 days agoThe US is a founder. It would be hard to.
It’s just best to be the EU and extend membership.

1·3 days agoI think that’s how sports should be digested. It’s impossible to keep track of every single game, much less, even attend those games. I think that’s a luxury for those who obviously can afford to do so.
The only time I’m involved with sports is when the playoffs happen, so I’m there for the World Series. But I’m not there for the full 162-game season. I’ll root for my team when they’re doing good in the standings, whether they’ve done some right moves and criticize them when they do something stupid or fail the season.

51·4 days agoSorry, I’m not sympathetic. You’ve damned us all because of your poorly uneducated choices.
You did vote to lose your job. You deserve to lose your job. More people are going to lose their job, like you.
And you voted for it.

Today I Learned@lemmy.world•TIL that incest is legal in many countries. For example: Brazil, Russia, South Korea, Japan, Mainland China (but incest is illegal in Hong Kong SAR).
14·4 days agoIt’s more likely that before humanity got enough of its brain together to make it outlawed in majority of countries, we as a species, have probably fucked eachother in a family for years.
But just because that is plausible, doesn’t make it any more right to do.

Technology@lemmy.world•Windows users keep losing files to OneDrive, and many don't know why
118·4 days agoHa, shows you right.
God, people, just get yourselves flash drives or an external drive. Cloud storage is dumb.
You could make either of those options last through your entire lifetime if you care for them properly. But I guess people enjoy the idea of going “huh?” whenever files mysteriously disappear from cloud storage.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What motivates social media trolls, or trolls in general?
3·5 days agoDistortion and Chaos.
Nothing more and nothing less.
Some social media trolls as we know, are fueling propaganda for a representative state as we’ve seen with Russian trolls before in the past. But a lot of the time, there do exist people who have way too much time on their hands to be going around and just practically shit on everything. It’s for their own amusement, I believe and whatever arbitrary belief system they have with themselves that we don’t know about.

Technology@lemmy.world•Discord in discussions of going Public Trading, economics expert discusses how that might change things
10·5 days agoWell the developers, like all techbros, have been sweetening up Discord to what it is. Once they find a pretty buyer, they’ll sell it for top dollar. That’s the real completion cycle of enshittification. Some private firm will have it or someone like Microsoft may have it and do to it like they’ve done with Skype.

5·5 days agoIt’s been enshittifying for a while now.
Who the hell would pay $12 for some fancy profile template? Who’d pay $6 just for an animated thing that revolves around your profile picture? Half of that garbage obstructs your profile.
Not even subscribing to their $10 Nitro deal is worth it. Wow, you get to have a poor selection of ways to display your name. Maybe if a server you really love to be in was active and could take advantage of some of the things advertised, probably might be worth it. But a lot of the time, I’m in servers that don’t so I don’t see a point.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•was middle school mostly good or bad for you?
1·5 days agoIt has had its memories. But, whenever I’m asked if I had any fond memories from my childhood, I leap to teenager years and high school. Because they were infinitely better.
My middle school years was filled with tons of humiliation, tons of setbacks, tons of embarrassing moments and nothing about it I’ve ever looked back on and was proud about. I was so hateful of my middle school years, I shredded all of my report cards. Not that they’d mean anything, but they reflected upon things about myself then and where everything was at the time. Sure I was a kid who did kid things, but I wasn’t considered a normal kid and I didn’t get to live a normal kid life.

Games@lemmy.world•Switch 2 Sales Reportedly Struggled Over The Christmas Period
5·5 days agoI haven’t bought it because the games I would’ve wanted to play on the Switch - still would work fine on the Switch. I don’t feel the need or see the need to jump to Switch 2. I haven’t even gotten a Switch for myself yet but I want one someday for Super Mario RPG.
Nintendo is just, fucking backwards in how they do business these days.
Enough for the month, if not longer.

This is a vent platform. Not an opinionated one. Are you confusing the two?
