I have a m1pro, and it’s pretty solid with kde. hdmi out does work through the port, but display port alt (over usbc) doesn’t yet. 120hz refresh is working though, and it’s just nice to have the macbook build quality with a good os.

2·3 months agoAs someone who was too afraid to play any game with horror elements, I found watching horror game speedruns helped a lot. I end up just applying the “gotta go fast” mentality to these segments now, and I find it doesn’t hurt “immersion” that much as I wouldn’t have gotten that far to begin with.

2·10 months agoGlad to have switched to a third party provider, even if they’re using Telus lines for fibre.
Took me 2 hours to cancel my out of contract services, and 15 minutes to sign up with the new provider. 🫠

Gaming@lemmy.zip•[Eurogamer] KTC M27P6 monitor review: 4K 160Hz Mini LED for the masses, not the classesEnglish
1·11 months agoI just returned the 1440p version of this monitor (m27t6) and if you’re on linux you might have to force vrr via edid tweaks. Slightly annoying if you’re on wayland.
With the tweak or natively enabled in windows it would have vertical scanlines at lower framerates which I don’t think I’ve seen before.
Hopefully the 4k version is better because it was surprisingly nice otherwise.

I haven’t noticed any oddity, but I generally dont use the track pad.
