21·22 days agopretty good, returned as fertilizers for the higher latitudes, humans should limit habitat to only up to the subtropical areas. Give back space to nature. Unfeasible, but not a bad idea.
fair. Unless it’s that baptist church that promotes hate. They deliver hate and religiosity in a packaged deal
Carney’s stance on regulating corporates and environment protection has been abysmal. Otherwise has been acceptable. We need a true, coherent leftist movement to tilt away from America and thus right wing politics that exploit labour and resources

honestly, neither the size of the bun nor the size of the sausage matters. You do your best with it, and the action of doing it is super hot already

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•what can I do about the feeling of uncertainty?English
1·1 month agothat’s good because uncertainty is the reality, it’s certainty that is a myth propagated. historically there is always people trying to capitalize others’ desire to avoid uncertainty, inventing religion, snake oil, supplements, etc.

Canada@lemmy.ca•How much would Quebec independence cost? An Alberta study offers cluesEnglish
5·1 month agoCanada’s territory will remain whole. Those who want out of Canada can simply leave. We won’t sponsor another Israel style creation carving out lands. The indigenous should take a part of land before any Quebec or Alberta question
Those who don’t value vaccines, the 2nd best public health measure (after drinking water and plumbing), don’t deserve public health. Only in a developed country, people have enjoyed their health for too long and can no longer appreciate their privileged conditions

Canada@lemmy.ca•What will Trump's retaliatory tariffs do to Canada's economy big picture? Not that much, economists predict
3·2 months agoThey pretty much already exhausted the effectiveness of it to stop trade, and now that most Canadians are doing the patriotic thing of moving away from purchasing any American items, the tariff becomes meaningless when our consumers has no need for iport in the first place

Canada@lemmy.ca•Canadian citizenship certificate applications now facing nearly 3-year delays
11·2 months agoPersonally would’ve preferred to grant easy PR route rather than citizenship directly. Nevertheless good to see it’s a desirable thing for people, increased mobility would be good for labour too when they decide to come back home. Funds will have to come from somewhere, government can offer expedite service with high fee, or high termed deposit to increase funds to support more workers in this line of service.
