What I am dismissive of, is people who complain about people who encourage more than sign holding. You should not be upset I desire to see more action. It makes you sound like a fed trying to “calm everyone.” That’s not you right? A centrist “calm guy,” a concern troll.

Most of us don’t have a signal chat. And that 4 person chat can’t grow to anything more than a circle jerk without more people.

So, let me know when it gets bad enough that you decide it’s more important to have the discussion than it is to obey the rules of a lemmy instance.

So one thing we should be doing is using that leaked list of ice agents to identify all their friends and relatives and harass them online and in person. We should be making it very uncomfortable for them. All of that can be done online. (Use a vpn)

Another thing is, when it can be done safely, damaging ice vehicles. Like tire slashing. There are people following them around blowing whistles. Whenever they leave the car to go raid a building, slash and bash.

We can be doing all the same things to politicians. Make them do something.

If you don’t like any of those options, that’s fine… But that’s why we have this conversation. That’s why we don’t just dismiss people who want to do more than stand around with a sign.

Nothing. And they are testing the water to see how much they can do without judges. So when they start standing outside polling booths they won’t get any government pushback.

Trump tests the water to see what he can get away with. He says a big thing to make you panic, then pulls it back a bit so you think “well, at least it’s not the big thing.” And then later he inches it forward again. “I’m gonna take over Panama” (panic) “never mind…. Venezuela!” He’s boiling us slowly like lobsters. If he says it… It’s a plan, and he is already saying there shouldn’t be midterms. Testing the water.

He also can’t do it too far from the midterms and have it fail—because then there could be midterms.

But some form of Martial Law-like action is part of their “Project 2026” and my bet is October.

They are saying that “getting out of hand” is goi g to be any amount of resistance. From the people all the way to the governor. Trump has every intention of deploying troops to control the local government. He may call it Martial Law, he may call it the Insurrection Act, he may call it Freedom Force for all I care. The point is he WILL DO IT and he’ll do it before the midterms.

Stop hoping this will all go away. No one is coming to save you. Resist more now or you won’t be able to later.
