It really is that bad on bedrock. Stability has gone down substantially and the game is hardly playable on some platforms that used to run it well. For bedrock, yes, absolutely. Bedrock used to be lauded for its performance across multiple machines and it now runs like trash on every one with the most egregious storefront in gaming. You can spend 20 extra USD on bedrock to get a single mod-equivalent data pack. You can spend that much or more on minecraft skins that won’t work outside of bedrock. Minecoins as a premium currency targeted toward children are one of the worst examples of robbing a low information userbase in gaming all around, it has reached unbelievable levels.

The ARPG WH40K Inquisitor - Martyr is unironically pretty good in its’ genre. All the live service seasons are accessible on character creation now, individually, and in offline mode. Pretty solid endgame, combat flow and selectable difficulty are different enough from PoE and Diablo to provide some unique gamer moments.

Your phone/plan carrier using voice data to make a marketing profile is well documented actually. This data is purchased and verified and resold by meta, or in some cases bought and used by alphabet for GAS. Cacti can show you outgoing data for every device on a network, and you can see data being sent from a phone in signed packets going to your carrier when you’re not “actively using” it. It seems like you know about network monitoring tools but you haven’t actually used them, just talked about them in reference to data collection.

If you recall, the division 2 was only on uPlay, requiring you to install the game through it even if you purchased it elsewhere - and that’s a substantially worse data collection vector than EGS (multiple breaches) and it is actually missing features like linking of DLC to the store page. What’s your point?

What features? I have seen a lot of complaining about performance of the storefront here, which leads me to believe a lot of the complainers have not actually used EGS in actual years. I haven’t seen anyone mention an actual specific feature of Steam that EGS is missing. Multiple running versions for beta testing, DLC linking with the main game page, sale frequency, everything except the social features of steam (which are notorious for being garbage communities) are on par in EGS these days, so this thread is confusing for me since you guys haven’t actually explained a single missing feature.

The OST is a nightmare too, that game is a purgatorial experience
