Anything other than cheese on a grilled cheese makes it a panini, not a grilled cheese.

22·4 days agoIf those games can do LAN connections (computers on the same network), you could use something like Hamachi to put your computers on a virtual network together. I’m sure there are more modern versions of Hamachi, but that’s how I used to do it in the early 2010s.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•#AskMastodon Philosophical/anthropological question for anyone interested in #SocialJustice or #AIethics or anyone with a thought on it.
13·4 days agoNo, but the way clanker has been adopted and expanded upon by the internet has made it into an analogue for the n word.
The term was originally a pejoritive for battle droids in the Star Wars prequel films, and was then adopted by the anti-AI crowd.
From there, it grew into ‘clanka’ (no hard R, just like the n word) jokes, and moved into other analogues like ‘Jim Code laws’, ‘George Droid’, and ‘Rosa Sparks’.
Isn’t this famously what happened with the Hyundai battery plant in Georgia? That dumb fuck state representative called and had all of the South Korean Hyundai employees that were there to teach the locals how to operate the facility kidnapped by the gestapo.
I wish I had a petabyte ssd! There’d be so much room for activities!

Not surprised that stack exchange is doing this, given that they seem determined to drive away their entire userbase.
Actually this works for anyone whose birthday has already occurred this year
Lol thank you, I’m dumb
I am not a programmer, but whenever I hear something is an electron app, I immediately expect it to be unresponsive as fuck and fail to perform its basic functions adequately. Does it really have a reputation to the contrary? Or is that the joke and I’m an idiot?
Oh, that makes sense. I just try to stagger my dryer and washer when doing multiple loads so that I can empty the dryer before the washer finishes, but I can see how having a second dryer would help me on a lazy day.
Maybe I’m missing something obvious, but why two dryers and one washer? Are the capacities vastly different?

I hope nobody is spending money on crucial right now after Micron’s dumbass decision to trash the brand. Don’t let them forget it when they try to bring it back after the AI bubble bursts either

I think a toastie and a panini are very similar, but a panini typically uses a stiffer bread and the toastie is kind of sealed on the sides. A grilled cheese (US) is typically a cheese sandwich toasted in a pan, so kind of somewhere in between a toastie and a panini
