Wise has been very handy for me, being able to add different currencies and pay for things overseas. You’re right though, they may already know the freight forwarder addresses. Do they not have an international store? It’d be really annoying buying an upgradable laptop and not being able to get any of the upgrades!
Can you use a Wise or Revolut virtual card and pay in US currency?
Most brass instruments aren’t cheap! It’s why my parents were smart enough to rent the saxophone when I was in high school because they knew I wouldn’t stick with it 😅I think trumpets are also really loud when learning to play, RIP your neighbours ears 😂
That looks like it’s coming from Amazon UK according to the “Sold by” and “Ships from” section, so may take longer.
The two top review from Aus aren’t promising lol:
Doesn’t seem to work very well at all
The trumpet was my daughters only Christmas wish. It arrived damaged due to poor packaging. Placed into a satchel instead of being boxed. If we had time to find a replacement it would have been returned.
Are you wanting a toy or a musical instrument? Cheap musical instruments tend to be terrible actual instruments. Maybe try Amazon AU? Might be a bit more expensive than Ali express, but you’ll probably get it faster if it’s shipping from aussie
I’m actually doing a little less now. Been focusing on putting a few more small trees and more perennial herbs and veges so I’m not having to replace them every season.
I usually try to grow too many new things each year and sometimes end up not getting a lot of food out of it. I decided to focus on just a few types this year. Also a few more perennial flowers for the pollinators. Oh and not doing any tomatoes this time around has freed a lot of space!
Nice! What are you growing this year?
I converted another area of lawn to soil for planting, so now have even less grass to mow.
I did the the unthinkable this week and threw out a whole lot of the accumulated boxes from things we’ve bought in the last six years.
I remember thinking “Never know when I might need that again”. Well, I need the space instead now!
Also you know you’re getting older when you can appreciate a nice, sturdy cardboard box of quality
Sadly I don’t think my children would fall for it… I’ve tried the “Who can be quiet the longest” and it never worked!
Good luck whatever you decide! I’ve been looking on and off for awhile to replace our Prius, but there’s barely anything that grabs my interest locally that is 6+ seats, hybrid and with a lot of space. It’s either 10+ year old Nissan Serena’s or expensive late model Toyota Highlanders or Sante Fe’s and nothing in between here in the Waikato.
Any particular make/model you were thinking of getting?
I wish everyone wore more colours. Winter is the worse for this, everyone is in dark colours and it’s so depressing.
Never bought new, but for the same reason I always buy through a second hand dealers due to having an avenue like the motor vehicle disputes tribunal and CGA - if any thing were to go wrong. I get that I can get cheaper prices with private sales, but I can’t be arsed dealing with private sellers and wasting time if you want to test drive a car or something first.
Drinking a whole teapot of green tea before bed last night wasn’t a great idea, I couldn’t get to sleep until around 1am
C’mon climate change do us at least one favour and make Spring nicer or something
When do we start getting the stable weather? Is it after Daylight Saving starts? I’m tired of the wind and random rain
Hate is probably too strong a word, but man do I intensely dislike David Seymour.
Him and his ilk were probably calling the Labour government a nanny state - they seem to really love regulation now though
Maybe Friday? People are generally more relaxed on a Friday than Monday is my thinking…
The Rambler looks great but I currently have a Weber kettle as well, which serves most of my grilling purposes. Mainly setup with a vortex to do chicken wings and other pieces. I have an Espeto Sul too, but it’s a bit annoying to use on the kettle. No one makes a riser for it, so can’t do lid on. I’ve thought about getting a cheap second hand Weber Go Anywhere so I can get a riser to use with the rotisserie. But then I’m also wanting a tabletop hibachi so we can do korean bbq or yakitori for the kids…
I like the concept of an offset (and I’ve watched a lot of videos on them lol), but I don’t really have time for fire management and long cooks :( I love the idea of cooking over wood too, sometimes I’ll do sausages or something on the little firepit. Maybe when the kids are grown up I can get an offset.
Ah yeah that’s always the risk importing something that doesn’t officially ship or sell here. I’m guessing it’s to do with providing support and warranties with areas that it’s not officially sold?
Hope you find a solution, otherwise take a holiday to the US 😂
